A view from Jeanneb

One today!

A perfect day!  After the manic departure of everyone for work, school and nursery I sat out on the terrace for my breakfast watching 3 balloons drifting up from the other side of Bath.

Chris and I then walked into the city (Bath) centre via Larkhall,
about two miles. We arrived at Pultney Bridge at the right time for coffee so went into the cafe on the bridge that we’ve visited  before. Lovely view from the window over the sparking water of the River Avon.
We had a few errands to do for Grace and then a general wander around the shops before having a celebratory lunch in Browns to acknowledge the year since Jude’s arrival.

We got a bus back (one of our aims was to check out the buses) and had a relaxing afternoon before everyone arrived back to party!
Jude loved the balloons and when neighbours arrived to help celebrate we sat outside for present opening. Eda and her friend Madeleine ( a neighbour) were keen to help.  Grace was very excited by the vintage Fisher Price record player from her ‘mum’ friends, Jude was mainly interested in the bowls of crisps!

We finished with slices of pizza and daddy made cup cakes with a candle of course, at least Jude didn’t touch it which Eda did with hers on her first birthday!
It was well after 7.00 pm when we finished and there was a lovely evening sky to round off the day.

Happy birthday Jude! So glad we were here to share it!
