UNWILLING MODELS, A TRIP TO REETH AND A NEW FRIEND

It wasn’t a particularly nice morning weatherwise, but I thought it would be a good idea today to do a “selfie” of the three of us, otherwise you might think that our friend, Sue, was a figment of my imagination!  However, when I broached the subject with both Mr. HCB and the said Sue, neither were that enthusiastic, in fact, quite the opposite.  We went outside our little cottage and I took several shots, but when I looked at them when we went back inside, I wasn’t happy, so suggested we went outside so that I could take a few more shots.

If they weren’t enthusiastic the first time, this time, they were positively grumpy, with Sue saying she hoped I was grateful for the fact that she was willing to pose again and Mr. HCB chuntering on, as usual, saying that for every shot I took, his fees went up.  However, this shot, with me wearing my pink gilet, for Pinktober and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, means that I was happy - but I was the only one!

It was still quite cloudy and misty, but we decided to go to the Stoneygate Farm Shop Café to have an early lunch and were indebted to Sue (who had obviously forgiven me) as she treated us.  Vicky was pleased to see us again and I was able to show her my Tuesday Blip when I mentioned what a good cup of coffee she made.

After lunch, by which time the sun had made an appearance, Mr. HCB suggested that we made a trip to Reeth and Sue was delighted as she wanted to visit a little shop that sold cross stitch kits so that she could buy some ready to make for Christmas gifts.  We found the shop, and after Sue had made her purchases, we then went into a little shop on the green where I spotted another little creature to join the Saturday Gang.  I have put in an extra collage and you can see at the bottom left, a little pink pig, which is ideal for Pinktober and I think it will fit in well.  Ivana, the shop owner, was happy to pose holding the pig, who will be named "Reeth", after being bought in this lovely little Yorkshire village in Upper Swaledale.  Of course, after I explained about Blip and why I wanted to buy the pink pig, Ivana was laughing as she served me.

Mr. HCB and I had an ice cream, but Sue declined - which was a shame, as they were very good.  You might be interested in the shot at the top right - and I wonder if you can guess the saying?  Mr. HCB thought I was quite “nuts” asking him to walk in the middle of the road in front of this pub - called The Buck - and of course, the saying is “Passing the Buck”! Sorry about my odd sense of humour!

Anyway, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you about clicking on this LINK, so that those who cannot afford to pay for a mammogram can get one free - it’s a great thing to do!
