Dougie and Dougal

A glorious day today, back to summer!
More balloons came over this morning as we were getting ready to go out. Grace has Thursday off so we were heading across the city to Bath City Farm to meet a friend.

There were some lovely Pigmy Goats that we bought some food for, a new litter of piglets (Gloucester Oldspot) and a couple of Curly Haired pigs but Eda was really keen to see Dougie and Dougal the Shetland Ponies.
She was very excited and less wary of them than we were.

The farm has a 37 acre site above the city with fantastic views.
You could see the Royal Crescent and Lansdown Crescent above it - centre of the picture. Just behind there Eda’s other Granny lives. The hill blocks the view from her house to Eda’s house which is on the hill beyond. ( I was showing Eda where Granny Sue lives when we ended up having a cuddle which aGrace captured - extra

After returning for lunch Grace had to go to work to do a virtual parents evening, less disruption at work than at home, so I was in charge of getting Jude up and Eda ready for ballet. Chris had arrived by this time so we walked down to Larkhall for the ballet class. Sat outside the New Oriel Hall in lovely sun shine, it won’t even be light in a couple of weeks never mind warm and sunny.

Back up the hill, some help from Chris this time, then I made tea whilst Chris helped Eda with some Lego at the table. Jude was busy trying to get up the stairs. (The stairs twist at the bottom so a gate isn’t that useful) but was easily distracted mainly playing with her shoes.
No Daddy tonight either so then it was bath and bed. They were both very good.
Eda wanted Boppa to read stories though apparently he was making some up as well!

Definitely wine time now, it’s been a lovely but full on day!

Thanks to Steveng for awarding me a heart for wide Wednesday for yesterday’s shot of The Circus, Bath
