The Kirk

It was quite a shock to get up in the dark at 7 and see the ice on the top of the cars. The first scrape for a while. The pool was quiet though, just the hardy regulars. Maybe the dark cold mornings are putting some folk off.

After breakfast I headed to Sainsbury's for quite a big shop. I even had a list, how good is that?

The sun was shining but it was chilly. It pushed me into giving the inside of the back window a clean. Not very successful but probably better.

Got rid of the rest of the tomato plants and dead headed a few roses and prepared for my visitor. Braving the heights of Liberton it was blipper Sally who brought blackcurrant jam in exchange for some Japanese anemone. We had a great catch up, travel, family, new baby (pics!), surviving Covid and more about travel.

After she left I though it was chilly I decided to go for a walk round the block to get the annual photo of Liberton Kirk in its autumnal glory. Luckily the sun came out, peeping through the trees.

Came home to have another go at estimating wallpaper. This is going to be expensive, but worth it.

Now it's 'Landward' and GW. It did feel like a day off.
