Parish councillor at work/ "One Street"

I popped to the village shop to collect our weekly local paper, the excellent Hexham Courant, this morning. Friday would not be a proper Friday without this paper.

K, one of our parish councillors, was busy posting new notices on the village noticeboard. As you know, I like portraits in mono, but I didn't want to lose the lovely colours of her clothes or spectacles in this image. County council elections are next week.

Arth has now had 3 very good days. He did all his exercises and cycled a mile (on the exercise bike) before I went out this morning. There is light at the end of the tunnel now. He may even receive a gold star later!
