Kitchen jobs

This morning we treated ourselves to coffee out, before starting house jobs. It was especially nice because we met Mollie, Josh and Daniel in Cromer, so they joined us at The Gangway. We like it there - a very relaxed cafe/bar. And they have cakes!! While we were out just chilling, Henry was in Norwich learning how to ride a motorbike. He has various days training this week and will hopefully have passed his CBT Monday,
and will go on to get his full licence with an intensive series of days riding/training in the next month. He says he wants to be able to ride one of papa’s bikes if we can get one on the road. I hope he isn’t going to buy a bike of his own!

We started work on the house after lunch, when Henry got back. Jon and Henry have worked on electrics and the floor preparation all afternoon. Plus lots of measuring. Jon has to dig down into the concrete floor to cut off and seal the radiator pipe. He has done the digging out, but needs to drain the system down before he cuts the pipes. They both worked hard and now the cooker is wired back in and we no longer need to cook nextdoor!

I did some tidying away with Mollie of the craft stuff. Fabric is back in the box and we just have a few bags and purses already cut out, which we will aim to get made up. I’m also going to make my Christmas tree mouse decorations. But that’s it for the preparations.

Now we are relaxing. We deserve it.
