Boxing Day walk

Sunday
Since we had sunshine today for the first time in several days, and today was Laura’s last day with us before heading north to Wisconsin tomorrow, we decided to skip church this morning, and enjoy a good breakfast and then go out hiking at Rowe Woods. I was assuming we would be able to watch the streamed service later, but unfortunately it seems they had technical issues, and when I tried later I couldn’t get to it. We enjoyed a great walk, enjoying reflections in the lake, beautiful clouds in the sky, several types of fungus, and some more of the beautiful artwork by John Ruthven. The white deer in one of the photos is part of their Christmas light display which they started last year. In the evening we tried learning a new game Laura had bought me, called Wingspan, which as the title suggests is to do with birds. It’s a nice concept, but it seems rather complex to learn. We couldn’t stay up too late as Laura has to be off early in the morning, with a 9 hour drive ahead of her!
