Burning Wood

On a winter day when the sun is low it's a challenge to get a shot of the smoke form a narrowboat smoke stack with the sun behind. On my way to an enjoyable coffee chat with photo society pal Rob I spotted this tableau and so that made my shot for today.

A little later in the hipster cafe I spotted this young woman outside with a splendid hat. I ran out through the door ad asked if I could take a picture of her through the window. It hasn't quite worked (see extra) but she was in a rush. Oh, for more time.
