I walked into the Mind shop this morning and found that there was a new, more modern till, but after the first couple of customers all was ok. Luckily! The new one is much better than the old, we can do much more on it, and we'll get faster.

Julie, the manager, managed to get a couple of bits of carpet from the Mind furniture shop next door but one and I laid them behind the counter to help keep our feet warm. It's such a cold place in the winter with no proper heating. There used to be hot air down-blasting at the entrance door, but it's not worked for several years, all we have is an electric heater behind the counter and another out the back. When the back door is open, which is several times a day, the cold air races through to the front door. The floor is uninsulated concrete. Enough said. 

Connie arrived after lunch. She suffers from horrendous migraines and, feeling that one was on it's way, donned a pair of donated sunglasses, which resulted in my photo :-)

My daughter messaged me during the day to check I was ok with going round to their neighbour's for a birthday gathering. Apparently there's a Mexican theme, so when I collected my new glasses this afternoon I popped into the nearby fancy dress shop and got a sombrero/poncho combination, see extra.

It was so nice to get home and turn the heating up!
