Gently down the stream

Chaffinchs

Had a lovely time in the reserve this morning, in brilliant sunshine.  This is the female chaffinch being very co-operative.  Actually I prefer the shot of her in Extras, where she's listening to the sound of the camera in continuous shooting mode, but I thought you might want to see all her lovely coloured feathers. Also in Extras is a male chaffinch - less of a blip star in that he's very determinedly grubbing about on the path.

When I left the reserve I went on through the water meadows to Clausentum Fen to see if there was any sign yet of the ramsoms.  Well the leaves are mostly up but not a peek at a flower.  Another two weeks perhaps.

Hope Monday goes well for you all  xx
