Gently down the stream

Lungwort

Pulmonaria officinalis

Cold, damp and windy today.  It didn't tempt me much to go out.  Hazel and I had a short walk along the Nuns' Stream this morning to where I'd seen this lungwort growing.  It felt like quite enough exercise ;))

Lungwort is definitely a wildflower, though I read it used to be relatively rare in Britain.  I guess, like primroses, it flowers when there's little other colour so gardeners have happily given it space.  My mum and dad certainly had clumps of it in their much loved last garden.

Okay, that's it for me.  I've done far less today than I should have done, but Im not stressing about that!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend, all  xx
