Thrills and Frills

Started the day at my respiratory specialist. The new meds they wanted me to try did not change my breathing level as they had hoped. I actually thought it made matters worse. So, I get to go back to my faithful Alvesco - hurray! Hubby started cutting up the pine tree that fell when we got the heavy snow earlier in the year. He made great progress. I helped trim shrubs out there and then cleaned a lot of the garden in front of the house. Did I mention it was raining? Many of you talk about taking walks and working in your gardens in the rain, so I figured, why not? Thrilled to have those tasks almost complete. We have a variety of frilly daffodils in full bloom all over the property. Thought I’d share one of my favorites although I cannot remember its name. My son brought over the ingredients for me to make him a keto meat loaf. I wasn’t impressed with the ingredients (I.e., almond flour, 8 cloves of garlic…); just hope it’s edible. It’s a recipe he found on line. But as many meals as they have given us, I certainly do not mind making his family a few meals while his wife is away for a few days. We have a quiet evening planned, dinner is leftovers. Thanks for the visit. Let’s hope something positive and concrete comes from the NATO meeting. The pictures we see from Ukraine are hard to look at. Those poor people. When will they get to enjoy flowers again? Count your blessings. “You normally have to be bashed about a bit by life to see the point of daffodils, sunsets and uneventful nice days”. - Alain De Botton
