Flame Tree

It's been a lazy Saturday and I haven't been out at all, so my blip is of the flame tree outside the living room window. I want to record it as it is because in a few weeks, it will look completely different. I can't remember it looking as bleak as it does at the moment.

G spent a lot of the day in her room, either on her laptop or tidying up books. As usual, she found stuff that triggered memories and big conversations about things you tend to avoid. The biggest thing of the day was getting in touch with our friend Barbara in Surrey. She lost her husband last year and is still trying to settle into a new rhythm. (She is in her mid-80s). I was so impressed that I was able to email her the link to a Zoom meeting, and she followed it and got herself onto a Zoom call. Seeing each other made a huge difference.
