Peace at last!

Grace and I have had a treats day. Both girls have gone to nursery/ pre school as there was an Easter egg hunt happening and it has given Grace a day of much needed respite/peace!

We took the bus on London Road into Bath, an easy walk down through Bailbrook House missing out the steep hills into Larkhall.

Getting off at Walton Street, a great area of independent shops, we went into Landrace. You would barely know it was there and I’ve walked this way into the city several times.
The blip is of a tray of freshly baked cinnamon or cardamon buns and the little shop behind. Behind me is the bakery and in between a spiral staircase up to a loft style cafe. We had coffee in handmade ( handle less ) pots and a cardamon bun each. Absolutely yummy.

A bit of shopping and then a bus back for a rest ( I brought back the washing up from down the road) and then we walked along to Bailbrook house again this afternoon for Afternoon tea. We passed some lovely spring flowers on our walk there along Bailbrook Lane. Extra

With the windows open onto the terrace and the Wisteria in flower it was a lovely setting. Grace and I brought baby Jude with us last year on the first day you were allowed to eat inside, it was raining then but I remember the Wisteria being out and Jude being as good as gold. Don’t think we could have had Jude with us today!
It was just nice to have a mother and daughter chill, thanks Grace.
The afternoon tea was Easter themed. Needless to say we couldn’t eat it all. Most of the sandwiches, a scone and a cake was more than enough. The rest came home in a box for John later

Grace has gone to bed for an hour. A great performance last night and another to come tonight so she needs the rest. John has been working from home as neither of them is feeling brilliant. The girls are fine now.

The builders are putting down the living room and kitchen flooring. It’s all go.

I’m going to sit here and do a bit of sewing before the little ones return.
