An ordinary life....

Road to Loch Broom,

Backblip

We arranged that Ele and Kenny would come to ours and we would go to the golf club for lunch before heading to Ullapool.  To our surprise, and I think for the first time in our lives, we were ready on time!

After a very lovely lunch we bid Alan farewell (he was heartbroken at us going.  Not. :-))) and had a trouble free journey all the way to Ullapool.

I snapped today's blip as we came down the hill into Ullapool as I spotted the ferry.  It was only later I realised I'd also managed to capture the Arch Inn (the hotel we were staying in for the night). It's the long white building to the left of the ferry.  Fabulous view from our bedroom.

Once in and settled Ele and Kenny came to our room and we had a holiday G&T from the bar.

We had booked a table for dinner at the Seaforth restaurant and headed round there at 8pm.

The food and the service was fabulous, however....we were a bit taken aback by the bill.  Bearing in mind we basically had four fish suppers (they also operate a chippy from the restaurant kitchen) three desserts (2 ice creams and a sticky toffee pudding) a G&T, a glass of rosé and a bottle of wine, and the bill came to £154!

They charged £18 for the fish and chips.  That's £72 for four fish suppers!

That aside, we had a fun night, especially the stroll back to the hotel with me in my wheels trying to avoid the pavement potholes :-)

The hotel was lovely and very comfortable.  Would stay there again.
