A visit from Di

Mum's friend, Di, who is a talented textile artist, came to see us today. They knew each other in the Sunderland Embroiderers' Guild. As Di's sight deteriorated, she had to move from fine embroidery to textile art.

Her work is imaginative and zany. Today she brought four gloves from an forthcoming exhibition. They are all fascinating to look at in detail.

I left the two of them together and I could hear gales of laughter coming  from Mum's lounge.

In my Blip, you see Di being a good sport and showing off the gloves.

This morning, I popped to Hexham to fill the car with diesel and to do a bit of shopping. Maureen was here first thing. She has seen a perfect cottage to rent, but she is one of many who are interested.

Arth has had a bad day for no obvious reason. I've had to increase the chemical cosh to try to get rid of his pain. Only one week to go to the Spanish walking holiday, so this is not good timing.
