A Day In The Life

Red Hot

Here, the average temperature for May is 67F. No wonder today’s 91F felt extreme! A few thunderstorms later on will bring an end to this hot stuff. I imagine tomorrow will feel chilly, but refreshing, aka perfect gardening weather :) • We started our day with a picnic breakfast at the river. We brought food from home but we stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts for our first iced coffees of the season. French Vanilla for me, Toasted Almond for MrsP. Yum!! • After breakfast we went to The Farmer’s Market looking for fresh lettuce and radishes. Unfortunately neither was available so we came home with pea shoots, onions and beets. Yum! • We finished planting the rest of the perennials we purchased and watered all of the new plantings, plus a few established ones, to help with the heat. Most of the radishes are now peeking through. Yay! • We hope you’re all enjoying a peaceful and joyful weekend!
