In 1984, a shooter entered a McDonald's restaurant in San Ysidro and killed 21 mostly Latino customers. There were serious concerns about why it took the police 77 minutes between the first shooting and the time that the police killed the shooter.


In 2022, a shooter entered the Rob Elementary School in Uvalde and killed 21 mostly Latino students and staff. A report released today raises serious concerns about why it took 77 minutes between the first shooting and the time that the police killed the shooter.
