From little acorns . . .

Acorn Knopper Galls do grow  (as well as b***y great oak trees . . . )

This one apparently is caused by the ‘Hymenopteran Andricus quercuscalcis’.

This year our oak is festooned the acorns, and a very large percentage of galls.

Another outing for yours truly today, this time the physio.  At least it’s as far as Peterborough.

Many thanks to dbifulco for hosting Tiny Tuesday this month.  For those interested, an eight frame focus stack taken in the studio (spare room) – it was too windy outside.
