An ordinary life....

Three is a magic number...

Backblip

John and Norma arrived just before 3pm.  Perfectly timed as they arrived as Tommy the roofer left so we had coffee and belated birthday cake (for Norma) and early birthday cake (for Alan) sitting in the garden, the first time we've been able to sit on the back patio since easter!

John, Norma and I moved onto pre-dinner drinks but David had to hold fire as he was having a swimming session with Alan.

Once that was over, John, Norma D and I wandered to the golf club for dinner.  What a great night.  They are the best company.  John is funny on his own, it's like having your own personal comedian with you, but together they are the best double act and not intentionally...which makes them even funnier!

It was dark by the time we headed home.  The nights are definitely drawing in!  But it was still warm and there was more laughter as we crossed the road...looking left and right, and left and right again, and again to make sure....before remembering the road is closed for re-surfacing so no traffic!

Two fifty-somethings and two octogenarians wandering home at 10.30pm making as much noise as a bunch of teenagers rolling in at dawn.  Apparently my attempts at getting the three of them to quieten down - Shooooooosh! - was just as loud as the racket they were making.  That made us laugh even more.

Once home we had a night cap and John and Norma headed off to bed.  We should have done the same but didn't and instead dozed off and woke up at 2.30am.  It was gone 3am when we finally made it upstairs.

Those octogenarians are a bad influence!
