Back to Harley

We haven’t sung at the Harley weekend in Baildon since 2019 so it was great to be back singing again there this afternoon with our ATN community singing group.

We were in a marquee at The Bull’s Head and on first sight I thought it would be a bit tight accommodating us all. Previously there has been a purpose built stage and that was rammed but as some of us were on the stage and others in front it worked out OK. Really enjoyed it even though the sound system was very loud.

We had a drink after and then took a stroll a round the centre of the village to admire the motor cycles on display. Mainly Harley Davidson’s but other bikes old and new, more than we’ve seen in previous years I think. This one, very shiny and looking superb was my best composition but I really liked the red and cream one to the right in the back ground. Chris said that was a good old one but it was harder to get a clear shot of it surrounded by other bikes.
There were other musical attractions on at the other pubs in the village too.
Not sure we would come and see these if weren't singing here
Good to be out enjoying the company of friends and the pleasure of singing. We are lucky.

Sadly we had awful news from the NE yesterday. Our dear friend Ian has been taken by cancer, so glad we called to see him when we came back from Scotland in May. I had hoped we would get chance to see him again. Much love to Ron and all the family.

Heard of the death of an ex colleague this week too, we have to make the most of every day.
In better news - a very happy birthday to son Alex enjoying a wedding today.
