A view from Jeanneb

An eventful weekend!

After our amazing night last night and a special church service this morning, when we sang ‘God Save the King’ for the second day running, we had our village horticultural show for the first time in three years.

Chris entered two of his fuchsias in two categories and won a first and second so as you can see he is well pleased (thank goodness).  He also got a cup!

It is the same species of Fuchsia that featured in my blip in late July, here

A lovely event as usual and the weather seems to have briefly returned to summer as it often does for this so people can enjoy sitting outside with friends listening to the band.

My favourite item was the little group of crocheted animals  but there was all the usual crafts, baked goods, flowers and fruit and vegetables.
After the presentations much of the produce will be auctioned off, something many people wait for. We had a chat with several groups of friends and just as we were leaving I was surprised to bump into one of our, now retired, ex vicars and his wife who had been playing in the band.

A weekend of good events following a week of sad ones.

You can see here that I’ve blipped a similar win before
