A Day In The Life

With cooler temperatures settling in for a few days it seemed a good time to put the first potato-leek soup of the season on the menu. Likely tomorrow. We dug up our first leeks leaving ten more to go. Thankfully leeks don’t mind a frost so we’ll leave them in the ground for as long as we can • It was a busy morning of errands. First stop was for bird food supplies and some dehydrated cow manure for the veggie garden; we had to visit three places before finally finding the clear water sealant we wanted; next was grocery shopping, then gas for the mower • The queue for paying respects to Queen Elizabeth was four miles long this afternoon (EST) • Unreal! • Here’s a funny sign we saw today: The reason ducks grow long tail feathers is to hide their Butt Quacks :)) • Hopefully mentioning cow manure and duck butts in the same blip wasn’t too distasteful!!
