Summer for a day
We lost an hour this morning because we changed to summertime overnight, not particularly good after a late night. We had breakfast and pottered around, then decided to go out and test a guesstimate walk we will be doing at Auckland Joggers on Tuesday night. The Club Captain suggested we do a practice walk, so off we went. It was quite important to gauge what time it might take now that I’m not walking fast. We also wanted to determine whether we should do a single or a double lap. At the moment we’re inclining towards a single lap, but we might have another practice walk tomorrow before deciding.
After our walk we called into the café Hello Friends and Allies for lunch before picking up the open home signs from this weekend. After arriving home we went over to see Mum and have a drink with her.
It’s been a glorious day. The car temperature gauge showed 22degC and even reached 23degC for a short while - a nice summer’s day. It all turns to custard again tomorrow, though.
As we walked over to Mum’s I was able to get a proper photo of the wisteria growing on a fence and trees alongside the road. Mr MacD is very envious.
