Marjorie's ramblings

Happiness is a Singing Walk (in the rain)

I walked again today, this time for the Singing Walk. I really didn't want to miss it, although I probably should have rested after yesterday's walk.

Like yesterday, we were based at Featherstone Castle. Unlike yesterday, the sun deserted us and there was rain most of the day. We still had a great day out. We learned new songs, some with quite complicated harmonies and rhythms. Bridie Jackson, our conductor today has recently won the Emerging Talent Competition at Glastonbury and will sing on the main stage there in the summer.

Tea was in Featherstone Castle and another gastronomic feast like Wednesday but without the lambs.

This photo is taken at lunchtime. The two on the left are trying not to smile for the camera and failing miserably.
