Capital adventures

Class of 2022

Two events of significance today: the amazing fiery dawn sky which presaged a wild, wet and windy morning, and the first in person College graduation since 2019.

I spent most of the day at the McEwen Hall for the three ceremonies and with the new Chair in Japan I sat on a throne, not very comfortable. And the dome leaked causing a slight rearrangement of graduands and seats.

It was quite emotional processing in behind the piper and seeing all these successful students and their happy family and friends. The ceremonies were interspersed with various bits of food and drink and quite a lot of standing around. By the end every bit of me ached.

The Hall looked very bonny as I left just before 8. Home for HIGNFY.
