Marjorie's ramblings

Turning a corner

I was out with the Intermediate Walkers again today for a delightful 6 mile walk from Prudhoe. We walked through the Whittle Dene Woods. The autumn colours were lovely.

As we turned a sharp corner in the path, this little scene opened up. I found it delightful.

We finished early and I suspect that the walk was nearer to 5 miles rather than 6.

27 walkers turned out for this and over 30 for the long walk at Stamfordham. At least we had only one stile to negotiate.

I fell asleep in the chair about about 5 pm. The short walk was no justification for this behaviour!
