Eight small steps for a man . . .

. . . . eight giant steps for a cat! One is out of sight, in case you're counting!

Dull and wettish today, quite gloomy. I've spent most of the morning sorting the pictures for the next Photo Cub competition. We ended up with 89, which isn't bad, though a few years ago we could easily have 120 entries. Partly due to lower membership, and partly to some members not bothering to enter, I suppose. Last night was the judging of the print competition, which had two sections, monochrome and colour. The colour section was given three joint winners, 20 points each, which ia bit of a pain as we would have to have three names engraved on the cup. Fortunately the three 20-scorers were all from the same person, so that's that problem solved!

After lunch I went down to the Walled Garden to see if by chance there were any runner beans left. There were a few, but not worth the bother!

Another day when it was hard to find a suitable Blip, so back to the deck replacement! Rosie is inspecting the new steps. Deck man is coming tomorrow to finish the handrail and a few other bits and pieces, then at some point I'll have to paint it! When it stops raining would be a good time.
