An ordinary life....

We met Santa!!!

Backblip

David left the house at 8.30am as he had a dental appointment in St Andrews.  Carole arrived at 9am to give Lola her pre-christmas trim.  Her coat wasn't too bad but her nails and tail needed a good clipping.

Carole was finished with Lola by 10.30am when R arrived to take her (Lola not Carole:-) for her walk.  She went off with him looking very grand and returned a soggy mess!  lol

Made Carole a bacon sandwich and had a good catch up with her.   Alan was also delighted to see her.   She left just after midday and David returned shortly after, very happy as he'd been given a clean bill of health from the dentist and the hygienist.

Quick change and some make up thrown at my face then friends Keith and Mairi arrived and we all headed to Cafe Kisa for lunch.  It was great to see them. David sees Keith all the time as they play golf together but Mairi and I see each other less often.

This was our first visit to the cafe since it moved across the road to larger premises.  Access is much easier so that's great.

We had an absolutely delicious lunch with wonderful service.  The waitresses are so lovely.  Just as we were waiting for the bill a waitress came over and said if we waited for a few minutes we would see Santa!  We thought she was joking at first but just as we were putting our jackets on the sound of jingles bells could be heard and sure enough, Santa and Mrs Claus appeared from a doorway.

As they made their way around the tables with children we found ourselves caught up in the moment, clapping and cheering and feeling 8 years old again.  We all left the restaurant laughing and in jolly spirits as we felt genuine excitement at seeing Santa!  :-))

Keith and Mairi came back to ours for coffee and to see the Christmas decs.  Once their son Ross left home they stopped bothering with Christmas decs so it's become a bit of a standing joke that they have none and we have loads!  D and Keith have their second last round of golf for the year planned for tomorrow, weather permitting.  It will be a thermals and waterproofs day for sure.

As we'd had a decent lunch we just had a small bowl of Mac n cheese each for dinner then the final of The Traitors.  A brilliant ending!  Have really enjoyed this silly game.  I hope they do it again.

Nikki sent me a photo of Esme on her way to her nursery Christmas party.  I could't resist including it in my little collage.  I can't believe how quickly she is growing!
