Standing On The Edge

Today’s weird ice phenomenon is this upside down icicle which appears to be growing upwards from the top of washing line post. And I snapped it just in time because twenty seconds after the photo was taken, it toppled from its precarious position on the edge of the post and landed in the flowerbed below.
We did the weekly food shop this morning and had our hair done this afternoon. The latter being a much quicker process for me than for Mrs C! And we’re actually both feeling well enough to go out tonight - Mrs C to her camera club and me to another play rehearsal.
But the really good news today was that some money we’d withdrawn from savings finally landed in our bank account after being lost in cyberspace for over two months!! Our financial adviser has worked tirelessly on our behalf to get these funds to us, but has continually been frustrated by every organisation involved blaming one of the others for the delay. I believe it has taken the intervention of someone very high up in the parent company to actually knock the right heads together and unstick the technological log jam.
Having worked in banking for thirty years I know how simple this transaction should have been. I will be interested to see what sort of bullshit excuse they come up with for the delay.
