Coat rack at the Grandtully hotel

I photographed the coat rack in our hotel bedroom this morning while we packed for our return home at the end of our wee holiday <sob!>

As well as taking the photo as a blip candidate (mainly for the shadows, but also for the funky wallpaper), I also wanted to keep a record of the rack design. This is because I plan to mount something similar in our spare bedroom when it is redecorated. This will be done in the spring, when the plaster from the damp work has dried out. It looks like Wayfair has a range of possible candidate coat racks for the room.

Yesterday's Mr Angry Hotel Diner was the model guest at breakfast this morning. He turned down the offer of a special bowl of porridge, proudly telling the waitress that he would 'have a go' at the menu. He was lucky that the 'main' course was smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, thus satisfying his daily morning fish habit.

We took a diversion to the Abernyte branch of the Scottish antique and arts centre on our way home. I was amused by a small display of glug jugs, the majority of which were labelled 'rare'. 'Not in our house', Mr hazelh and I agreed.

Once home, it was business as usual: unpacking, washing into the machine, walk round to LIDL and Tesco for groceries to tide us over until Monday, and Friday night curry prep. We also managed to watch last night's episode of The apprentice before Jon arrived for games and supper.

One of our games of Catan this evening was very interesting. In this, Jon spent nearly all his resources on development cards. He won the game on the basis of two cities, the largest army, one settlement, and three victory points. (Mr hazelh won the earlier game of Catan, and Jon the single game of Azul. I blame my losses on poor sleep last night, largely due to painsomnia of aching feet, ankles, and knees.)

Exercise today: small amount of walking (6159 steps).
