An ordinary life....

Blippers are like buses...

The plan we agreed for this morning was that we would go to the golf club for brunch at 11am.  This gave D time to walk Lola and our guest a chance to have a lie in.

We then planned to go to Scone Palace to see their displays of woodland snowdrops.  I even planned on taking the big camera with me.  Alas when making these plans we'd forgotten that Alan was having a swimming session at 1pm and David needed to be at the house for the duration to be "lifeguard."

We headed to the golf club regardless and had a lovely brunch, then back to the house to chill while Alan had his swim.  He was out of the pool at 2pm so we decided to go to Gloagburn for a light lunch.

I took Peter to Gloagburn not long after D and I moved here and he hadn't been back since so he saw huge changes.  It's about three times the size it was.

We had a light lunch and were just enjoying a cuppa and some cake (it's the law at Gloagburn ;-) when a vision appeared beside me and it was another lovely Blip Pal TriciaR.  What a pleasant surprise!  :-))

We had a quick natter and I realised that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have these two blippers (it was the first time Peter and Tricia had met) pose for my blip, which they obligingly did (thank you P&T :-) before T returned to her mum and her husband and we headed to the farm shop.

It's a standing joke with us that we cannot leave Gloagburn without buying some thing from the shop and despite being determined not to buy anything, of course we did!  Nothing exciting, just some napkins, chilli jam and pancakes and meringues.

Home for more blethers, some TV then slightly later than planned, homemade nachos, rice and the chilli I made yesterday.  We all really enjoyed it but when I make it again I will adjust the spices slightly, putting in  a little less ground coriander and ground ginger and slightly more hot chilli powder and chipotle chilli paste.

Just before we had dinner we got sucked into an episode of The Great Pottery Throw Down.  It's hilarious how these programmes capture you if you see the first five minutes!  Paused it while we ate then watched the rest of it afterwards.  Also watched an Episode of Escape to the country which was in Perth and Kinross.  Lovely to see places featured that we know so well AND the sun was shining :-)

Final cuppa and slice of birthday cake then it was time for Peter to head home.  Lola was very sorry about that as she gets lots of attention from P.

So lovely to see you P and thank you so much for the Christmas and birthday gifts.  Definitely won't be as long before we meet up again.  See you in April :-)))
