Southern Arizona Snow

I knew more was coming after I blipped last night around midnight. This was the most dramatic scene I could find. It only took an hour, once the sun came out, for fairly quick melting. The first extra is a frozen ocotillo.

This is the desert, for goodness sake. According to the NWS, we’ve had more snow than Philadelphia and Washington, DC combined.

The second is the photo taken by Reno brother last night of the conjunction of Venus (on the right) and Jupiter. You can see three of Jupiter’s moons. We live vicariously through each other when one of us has clear skies and the other doesn’t.
