An ordinary life....

Sums them up...

Backblip

All up early this morning as S didn't want to be late driving the long journey north.

After breakfast I took the girls into the garden for their obligatory final day photos.  Sadly the blue skies and sunshine of the last few days had gone, but the grey morning suited their mood more.

I could have chosen a better photo of the pair of them to blip but this one made me laugh as it sums up their personalities perfectly.  Anna is quieter, more reflective than Faith.  She enjoys arts and crafts, music, Disney Princesses, reading.  She's learning to play the violin (and doing really well) Meanwhile Faith is a pocket rocket!   Charges at everything at 100 miles an hour, a natural comedienne, always on the go, will jump rather than walk, talks at a million mile an hour and is SO loud!  There's a reason her gran has nicknamed her Foghorn Faith!  :-)

When we came back inside Faith announced that she and Anna wanted to sing for us.  They each have the most beautiful singing voices, pitch perfect and they blend so well together, as family voices tend to do,  No idea how I managed not to end up a snivelling wreck.

Once done, Faith said she wanted to sing a song on her own and proceeded to sing a short and funny little ditty.  It was brilliant.  I must ask her mum what it was called.

And with that it was time to get into the car and head home.

Anna looked quite resilient as they left but when S messaged me later to say they were home she said that Anna cried til they were well past Perth.  To try and cheer her up Faith apparently told her that on their next visit Anna can sit next to David at the dinner table (they fought every night over who would sit next to D!  Faith usually won.)

After they'd gone, we had lunch and D headed to the driving range for a little while.  I planned to crochet some of my latest project but fell asleep within minutes of sitting down.  It's been a very full on week!

When D returned neither of us felt like cooking so a takeaway it was.  Sat like zombies looking at the tv till bed time.  The house seemed very quiet.
