An ordinary life....

Lucky me!

It's funny just being David and me in the house.

Jordan messaged to say Alan is having a great time.  They've not let the rain hold them back and been to lots of places.  Tomorrow the rain has to be particularly heavy so the cinema is on their list of things to go.

While D and I were having lunch another delivery arrived, this time a box containing a beautiful Cornish cream tea sent by my lovely friend Mae. Again I am so touched because Mae is on her way down under to see her younger son Craig, who emigrated to Australia last year.

It is testament to Mae's love for her children and her complete selflessness, that she waved Craig off with her blessing.  Her elder son Glenn committed suicide four years past in February, he was only 28, and I know what it took for her to let Craig go, but his happiness is the most important thing to her.

She still has her daughter Ami close by and it's Ami she is with on her trip to Australia.  She is a very nervous flyer and has been dreading the journey, so for her to think of me and organise this wonderful gift in the midst of heading off is so typical of her thoughtfulness and kindness.

Got some crochet done late afternoon and plans sorted for the weekend.

David heads off on his golf trip to Ele and Kenny's place in Spain on Friday (Kenny's already out there) so Ele is coming up on Friday and will stay over till Saturday, then head off to a friend's birthday party.  She will return Sunday to have lunch with our friend Gail and me.  Gail is coming up on Saturday and staying over.  We always get together when the guys are on their golf trips, it's just complicated this time with other plans in place.  This was an impromptu golf trip that came about through a chance conversation in January :-)

So glad it was last week all the drama took place as I would have hated D to miss his trip.
