Night

It has been a long day! No real reason, I have just felt really tired all day.

It was a Dad-visiting day of course, so I headed over there as usual. He wanted me to make spaghetti to go with some Bolognese sauce he'd made already. My first attempt at cooking it went horribly wrong due to his cooker deciding to cool down just after I added the spaghetti to the boiling water. The spaghetti just dissolved and turned to slime! It being gluten free spaghetti maybe didn't help. The second attempt went a lot better fortunately!

I tried to broach the subject of him having other help than just me. He really could do with more than just my three visits a week, but he's reluctant to have outside people.

The Age UK people have never got back to us. I think if they did they would insist on another deep clean as the place is not as good as it was after they deep cleaned and decluttered the place towards the back end of last year. At the time he was willing to accept their services but now seems to have changed his mind. I can't do more than I am now, but I think he's hoping that I will when it comes down to it. As soon as I brought the issue up he immediately changed the subject.

I had planned to have a coffee somewhere before going home today but I'd been in two cafes and left as they were packed. After the second I received a text from Brian to say that a box of cat food for Minstrel had been delivered and was by the back door so I cut my losses and headed for home after picking up a couple of bits from M&S.

After a late lunch back home I fell asleep with Minstrel on my lap. All day I had been really tired. None of my own jobs are getting done again, but a warm, purring cat on the lap when you are tired anyway is like knock-out drops!

At this point I was still without a Blip so had a quick walk to the river while Bri was out visiting his Mum. Not often I do a night shot, for obvious reasons!
