CLIMBING UP THE WONKY DRAINPIPE

Hello Lovely Blippers,

Well, what a day we’ve had - both Mr. & Mrs. HCB have been out all day long and we were so fed up because it was a lovely day and all we wanted was to go out into the garden and have some adventures together.

Mr. HCB went off just after 9 o’clock and then Vicki, Mrs. HCB’s friend arrived a couple of minutes later to take her, because of course, Mr. HCB had the car and she had no means of getting there.

Once they were gone, we had some breakfast and then had a good look around and found a key to the back door, and by standing on one another’s shoulders, we managed to get it open, so we had a good play on the drive underneath the carport.  The reason we did this is because it was so hot in the sun in their back garden and we didn’t know where the suncream was - but then Hoggy said that probably Mr. HCB had taken it, because he was going to be at cricket all day and he needed to make sure he had lots of cream on.

We knew that Mrs. HCB was going on a Food Hygiene Course at the Church - because as you know she volunteers at the Community Fridge each Monday and she needs to have the Certificate or should we say, she needs to be certified!!!  Now that is silly because anyone who knows her, is aware of the fact that to be certified can sometimes mean that someone is quite mad - and whoever would say that about Mrs. HCB?  We know that dear Admirer wouldn’t say anything like that but we would, he he he! ;-)

We decided at about 4 o’clock that if she didn’t come home soon, we would go and raid the freezer to see if there were any ice lollies or ice cream.  The trouble was that somehow we lost the key while we were playing, so we couldn’t get back indoors.

We decided to climb up and sit on top of the gas meter box to wait for Mrs. HCB.  Some of us stuck ourselves through the wonky drainpipe - we really must tell Mr. HCB about it being so wonky, but we daresay he will say he will add that to his ever-growing list of Things to Do!

We hoped that Lynn, their lovely next door neighbour might come out with some cakes, but she must have been busy cleaning because there was no sign of her - such a shame because her cakes are delicious!but just as we were about to go indoors, Vicki, Mrs. HCB’s friend, drove onto the drive and dropped Mrs. HCB off.

Mrs. HCB won’t know if she has passed the Food Hygiene Exam for a couple of weeks, but we will definitely let you know.

Hope you all have a good weekend and that the sun shines on you wherever you are.  We have told Mrs. HCB that she needs to rest now until Mr. HCB gets home and we think she may already be half asleep.  We think we can hear her snoring anyway - Zzzzzzzzzzz
