A time for everything

A floral walk by the Ohio

Monday
We celebrated this Memorial Day, another hot, sunny one, enjoying a walk along the Ohio River downtown, followed by a cookout at home, and finally going to an outdoor concert in the adjacent neighborhood of Blue Ash, by the Blue Ash and Montgomery Symphony Orchestra. It was a beautiful evening and a great concert, with tributes to the armed forces, and a variety of music, including a couple of selections from war films such as Saving Private Ryan and captain Bogies March from Bridge over the River Kwai, but also a tribute to Louis Armstrong. We saw a few people from church, and our former church choir director who is also an accomplished percussionist was playing in the orchestra. Normally our current church pianist/organist, Tom, would be playing cello, but I believe they are on vacation. I’ve added an extra from our cookout and the concert.
Big News: I’m finally caught up with my Blips - for now! I’ve just posted three days this evening - do check them out if you have time!
