Marjorie's ramblings

Dreamy

This is a back blip. By the time Julie and I had put the world to rights and consumes a bottle of delicious red wine, it was after midnight!

I didn't feel too well today, lacking energy. The high temperatures and the high humidity did not help at all.

This afternoon, I decided to go and inspect the village "pond" because damsel flies had been seen there.

On the way, I was assailed with the scent of the oil seed rape going over and the hogweed. Not the best in the heat!

The pond is so overgrown, that you cannot see any water.  Nor any damsel flies nor any dragon flies. I was too hot to stay for long.

The route back home is through a field which is bursting with grasses. It is not a species rich meadow, but is very attractive.

Tonight Julie and I went to hear the Melrose Quartet at the Queens Hall. They play folk but with their own slant and include their own compositions. The Melrose Quartet

What is endearing is that they live in the same street in Sheffield and started playing together when their children were babies.

It was lovely to see Julie and she was able to stay overnight (hence the late wine drinking)!

Hence the Back Blip!
