A view from Jeanneb

She’s here

Eda is with is now until we take her home on Friday. John brought them both over from visiting his sister in Harrogate and stayed for dinner before heading home with Jude.

I’d got them both a couple of activity books as a bit of a distraction and Eda had done the magic painting in no time. (I didn’t think she’d want to do them they were more for Jude). She wasn’t happy that the colour disappeared as they dried so I had to take pictures of them. Jude was enjoying hers but preferred using her finger once the water was on the page.

Eda then went on to the scratch book. Alternate pages showed how to draw something in four stages. She really got into this as you can see with the mermaid, but that wasn’t all, she did each one and then cut the pages out to reassemble as a book in the order she wanted. She made up a story which she dictated to me to write on each page.
We took the picture of the mermaid to send to mummy.

It’s good to see that both girls want to be creative and do things their own way.

I gave Jude a book to take home with her, starting the story so she could look at the pictures as they set off. I needn’t have worried there was no fuss from either of them as John and Jude left.

A good start to our week, it’s so nice she wants to be here.  I think it’s going to be a busy one!
