The accidental finding

By woodpeckers

Sunny afternoon on the Cornhill

I was in the office today, but did have lunch outside and walked home afterwards. Was going to lie out in the hammock this afternoon to read, as I had done this morning before work (!), but the sun disappeared, so I lay down inside and devoured Rizzio by Denise Mina. Tanya gave it to me when she visited. We were at school with Denise Mina, though we remembered her older sister rather better. Rizzio is very well written, but bloody, detailing the murder, all but in front of Mary Queen of Scots, of her private secretary, David Rizzio. Read it and....don't sleep?

I feel better for having made time for reading today, and spending less time on my phone and laptop.
