Dundee

Backblipped Saturday for Friday.

It was a busy old day to get organised to head to our son and daughter in law’s for the night. A bracing walk in Dalkeith country park set us up for a quick lunch, a spot of ironing, putting a colour mask on my hair, packing and heading into town to collect Katy from school and heading up the M90.

The weather turned wet and miserable and a contraflow on the road between Perth and Dundee meant we arrived 40 minutes later than planned but we weren’t heading out again so it wasn’t an issue.

As it was Michael and Ali’s first wedding anniversary yesterday we started the evening with a very nice glass of champagne they’d been gifted before a delicious dinner. They’d brought us some presents back from their trip to the States in October and I’m now in possession of a lovely soft pastel hoodie from a shop that Katy used to love as a teenager which has recently expanded their size range over and above the tiny child like sizes they once sold! Mr PHL was delighted with a new leather belt and Miss PHL was very happy with her huge bottle of Chick-fil-a sauce.

We had a lovely evening chatting over a glass of wine before heading to bed around 11.
