Glow!

A fabulous evening at Glow the illuminated event at RHS Harlow Carr in Harrogate.

It was a perfect evening, not particularly cold so no need for hats and gloves, no wind, no rain and just a light cloud covering.

We have been several times before, the first to sing at the opening pre lockdown when it was so wet we didn’t even look around but the other occasions were all good, but I think the light displays this year were exceptional. There were a number of new features with ground installations, smoke rings and smoke filled bubbles from special machines and lights beaming up into the sky.
So hard to chose as the tree colours everywhere were stunning but these reflections in the Queen Mother’s Lake were pretty special.
I will add a Flickr file later as the rest are worth a look too.

We had a mulled wine from Betty’s Tea Cabin and walked around the last part of the tour with it. It was warm enough to sit out side but all the tables were full!

Poor Chris was pretty shattered as he was dint charge of making the luncheon club Christmas dinner today ( he’d made 44 stuffing balls!)but he has enjoyed it too.
