Lonely Circus

A tightrope walker (fil-de-feriste) on the square this evening. His apparatus was intriguing, in such delicate equilibrium that a slight shifting of weight would make it swivel, and an equally small shift would stop it again. The guy at the back is playing specially composed music, augmented by the fact that the wire was itself wired for sound, so the tightrope walker could use his feet to play it like a huge harp. A short but mesmerising perfomance. He only fell off once, and made it part of the performance.
