The Fire Starter

So, today was all about our new log burner. The Council people came to check it this morning and, despite a couple of minor hiccups, it passed its certification process.

We had a little 'house warming' party this evening with some of our friends from church. The fire has made a huge difference to heating the house already, and it's only its first day. I think it'll become our favourite place to hang out. Rae is standing by it, not wanting to go to her cold bedroom! I have to admit, I'm not keen to head to mine either. In saying that, they're a bit warmer than they usually are, so it's not too bad.

It's a huge stress off all of us now that it's passed its inspection. Very relieved and hopefully nice and snuggly.
