A Day Worth Recording

Hunny

backblip

The very stripy and understatedly 'crumbling' cliffs at Hunstanton. This is what serves as seaside for Cambridge. Blast has noted (err, tomorrow) the inclination of people to not be where we're at.

We are quite deliberately at the quiet end of Hunstanton, 'Old Hunstanton'. Honest.

EasyPudding blipped the sunset.

A long day today - and early start as E suggested an early morning walk around Fowlmere - the local RSPB reserve. Nothing very much was happening but I caught a reasonable shot of a circling tern.

Or is it a Black-headed gull?

We moved a house today.

Many years ago, when the boys were shorter than us, I built a play house in the garden - mainly out of sheets of 8x4. It's been used as a store for some years. It's quite big.

A visiting colleague-and-neighbour has young children and we offered it to them thinking it would be simple to shift. They were delighted, as were we to find it a better home. However, a 4ft passage and a 4ft 2inch wooden box, built to typical Cheeseminer apocalypse-tolerant standards, proved to be an interesting, but not insurmountable, challenge. It's now in it's new home awaiting some TLC.

Must put next-door's fence back sometime.
