A beautiful start
to a beautiful day -  I'll

I left the house at 6:30. The sun was already well ahead of me. I drove off to the bridge thinking I was going out to Mission Flats, but I got stuck in the inside lane and found myself at Riverside Park instead. (I'm amazed how much traffic there is at 6:30 in the morning!)

I parked at the east end near the railway bridge. My feet aren't willing to do much.

I was surprised to find Canada geese with goslings near the river. The stalwart adults were ushering their young through the grass. I see some goslings are already teenagers sprouting adult feathers. 

When the river is high, the bridges all seem so short. I had a look at the Overlander Bridge and the railway bridge. 

The iris blooms are beginning to shrink and fade. I suspect I've caught the last of them for this year. 

I'm home with some packing and sorting to do. I'm off on a road trip tomorrow.
