In the pink

I’ve just finished this cardigan for Eda. Instarted it in Scotland whivh I think Eda will like to know.
In itself it’s not silly, she chose the yarn colour and the buttons. She originally wanted alternate blue and pink buttons but they were sold out of blue so we went for purple and pink. Thereby lies the silliness.
Eda wanted a spare button so I bought ( I thought) 7 buttons. No I’d bought 7 packets of 6 buttons! Thought they were expensive! Any way the lady, who it turned out was based in France, happily took back 5 packets and reimbursed me.  The other thing that is even sillier is the petal edges make them really hard to fatten and unfasten so hopefully she will wear it open!
More than silly today has been the weather. It has rained all morning and has only just stopped, maybe just in time for a later June wedding but not for our neighbours Open Garden from 10.00 till 2.00 raising funds for Sue Ryder Hospices. We did pop down with a donation and came back with cake, I hope they did well despite the conditions.

I forgot to add a link to yesterday’s Penistone Hill art blip my blip from 2016 of the set for the Bronte programme. So it’s here
Looking at it now the front view of it in the extra it looks better than I remember but I was probably just more conscious of it when watching the programme. A blip of some the filming here
There was also ‘art’ in the fields below the hill in celebration of The Tour de France coming to the area in 2014. The Tour passed through Haworth and across the end of Leeming reservoir to then climb over to Hebden Bridge.
