Second spike
I don't have much luck getting orchids to rebloom as my house isn’t really suitable and it is too cold outside for them. This one has been in the garden until 2 months ago when we saw the flower spikes growing. Bob carried it inside and it takes up all the window space in the dining room. The other larger spike is in extras. Also my first primula planted a few years ago has come back.
We had another lovely sunny day and I did 40 minutes in the garden putting leaves into a large plastic bag for mulch. My compost bins are all full. There are more to save so I walked around to Mitre 10 and purchased some more big strong bags. I find bending over really difficult (hip precautions) so have to do a sort of lunge movement to reach the ground.
Hair cut for Bob and the usual daily activities (sudoku, piano, walk, household chores) take up the day. My current book is one Bob got out from the library. It is “The Andrew Report an independent way in Australian politics”. Peter Andrew was a very popular independent rep for our area in the early 2000s before he succumbed to cancer. It talks about lots of familiar places, people and current affairs of the time. It is really interesting. He had over 75% of the vote here and was in for 3 terms.
