Chilling Mississippi style

Today went over the bridge to Arkansas and enjoyed a meal in a Mexican restaurant which appeared to be the only place open in the whole town. It was a beautiful town but several of the shops appeared to have gone out of business and many others were dilapidated, by which I mean the entire walls had collapsed. Saw Swarms of dragonflies which was an amazing sight but they moved away as you got close to them thankfully.

Last night I went to the First ever mechanised cotton gin, an amazing metal construction now turned into a bar and part of the Hopson Plantation, stuffed with obscurities such as mannequins and metal signs. Spent some of the evening with a couple of tipsy women who referred to themselves by code names batman and robin all night although when batman went to the loo Robin gave us all her real details . We were entertained by a charming man who chose to play music and educate us in terms of different blues styles. His high school reunion was going on in the next room and whenever we went into that room to get drinks we got funny looks off them as we clearly were not recognisable. The last person we met was a crop sprayer who does dive bombing of the fields here in his little yellow plane, think North by Northwest. It is am interesting and unnerving sight if you are driving below them. This evening I am just sitting in a rocking chair, sipping lemonade in a warm, highly humid outdoor area which feels like I am wrapped in warm, wet towels. Occasionally I am getting bitten by flying things. I will miss Clarksdale. The blip features the ground zero club which I took quite a few pictures of today and struggled to chose one which was representative. It is part owned by Morgan Freeman who's presence is very much felt in this town.
